Annual Open-Air Conference ~ General Information

This yearís conference will be held at beautiful Camp Istrouma, outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a map, with directions to the conference location will be provided should you register for the conference.  Sleeping accommodations will be two air-conditioned/heated dorms, one for men and the other for women (sorry, we donít have any special housing for married couples).  You will need to bring your own bedding and towels.  The dorms are clean and very well kept.  Each dorm is divided into four rooms/bathrooms that accommodate fifteen people.  We will make sure that all children room with their parents (boys with their fathers, girls and nursing babies of any gender with their mothers).  Two free meals, breakfast and evening, will be provided at the conference.  During lunchtime we will be evangelizing.  If you desire to eat, there are various dining options on campus or in Baton Rouge (cafeteria, fast-food restaurants, etc.).  If you have any questions, please contact us.

All conference attendees are required to pre-register.  If you are interested in attending our conference please contact us at church@consumingfirefellowship.org or call us at 601.888.3469 to register.

H NOTICE TO ALL FULL TIME CAMPUS/OPEN-AIR PREACHERS:   We honor and respect all who labor full time in the open-air and covet such men to attend our conference.  On the other hand, we want to avoid the spiritual circus that many open-air conferences have degenerated into by accommodating every spiritual camp.  Each year we invite certain full time open-air preachers who we have a kindred spirit with to speak at our conference.  To all others:  if you want to attend the conference, you are required to pre-register.  Please take notice:  you will not be allowed to attend the conference if you fail to pre-register.  It is our vision to keep this conference pure, a place where Jesus is exalted and  likeminded saints can be encouraged and challenged regarding Biblical evangelism.  Unfortunately, among those who claim to be full-time open-air preachers there are many factions and sects,  some good, others not so good.  Pre-registration is a bold attempt to "weed-out" the undesirables who may cause division, subtly promote a private agenda, or foster spiritual problems.  It is not our goal to be exclusive, but rather, wise.  Hence, Consuming Fire Fellowship reserves the right to deny the registration of any and all self-proclaimed campus evangelists or street preachers who we deem as unprofitable.  For example:

[1]  If you are not part of a local church and submitted to a pastor your registration may be denied.

[2]  If you don't have a prayer life this conference is not for you.  We do not allow prayerless men to preach.

[3]  If you curse, punch, smoke, drink alcohol, or think these actions are permissible for Christians, it would be best if you first secured salvation before you attempt to preach the gospel.

[4]  If you don't like being told what to do, stay home, because you will be miserable here.

This is not an attempt to be funny.  I am doing my best to be forthright and upfront.  I am very, very serious about maintaining the integrity of this conference and preserving the spirit of unity that has thus far prevailed.

Pastor Britt Williams
